RESOLUTION 17-073(S)(A)
A RESOLUTION OF THE HOMER CITY COUNCIL AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE SOUNDVIEW SIDEWALK AND PEDESTRIAN SAFETY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT TO THE FIRM OF EAST ROAD SERVICES. INC. OF HOMER, ALASKA IN THE AMOUNT OF $442,083 AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, Competitive bids were solicited for the Soundview Sidewalk and Pedestrian Safety Improvement Project in conformance with The City of Homer’s Procurement Policy; and
WHEREAS, Two bids were received on July 20, 2017 (see Memorandum 17-109); and
WHEREAS, The low bid from East Road Services, Inc. of Homer, Alaska was found to be responsive; and
WHEREAS, The bid is within the project budget approved by the City Council; and
WHEREAS, This award is not final until written notification is received by the firm from the City of Homer.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Homer, Alaska, awards the contract for the Soundview Sidewalk and Pedestrian Safety Improvement Project to the firm of East Road Services, Inc. of Homer, Alaska, in the amount of $442,083 and authorizes the City Manager to execute the appropriate documents necessary to complete this project.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Homer City Council this 24th day of July, 2017.
