On October 30, 2024,  we reopened Bayview Park with a ribbon cutting and some hot cocoa! Thanks to everyone who came out to celebrate!

It was wonderful to have so much community involvement in making this project a reality. Thanks again to the Kachemak Bay Rotary Club and the Alaska Department of Health for providing funds to support the project and to the public and City Advisory Commissions who put a lot time into planning!

Mr. Whitekeys is an Alaskan musician, entertainer, and author who is known for his performances of “The Whale Fat Follies” at Mr. Whitekeys’ Fly By Night Club.

The Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) provides information on capital projects identified as priorities for the Homer community.  Projects to be undertaken by the State of Alaska and other non-City organizations are included in the CIP in separate sections.
