Adult Basketball League 2025 Champions: Alaska Salt Co.

Congrats to the Alaska Salt Co. who are the champions for the 2024-2025 Adult Basketball League. Co-Ed Adult Basketball League 2025 Playoff Tournament was a complete success with some very competitive games over the two day tournament.

Passages Alaska - NEA Big Read Workshop at Bunnell Street Arts Center

This is event is held at Bunnell Street Arts Center.

Passages Alaska is a new indigenized, arts-infused Alaska Studies Curriculum that invites students to explore Alaska histories, cultures and contemporary identities, and create artistic expressions of family and community stories that acknowledge and celebrate their own lived experiences as integral parts of Alaska’s unfolding history.

Finding Home - Exhibit Opening at HCOA

Come to Homer Council on the Arts for the First Friday opening of the exhibit Finding Home, which focuses on the challenges to find home. The opening reception will include a conversation about the Homer local housing crisis. The exhibit will be open all of February 2024.

NEA Big Read - Zoom with Authors

Jess Walter (The Cold Millions) and Alaskan author John Straley (The Big Both Ways) will discuss their books, which both take place in the Pacific Northwest during the early 20th century and share common themes.

This is a virtual presentation that will be screened in the Fireplace Lounge. Discussion facilitated by Tom Kizzia.
