Deep Water Dock Scheduling

The Deep Water Dock (also known as the Freight Dock) has inside, outer-face, and trestle berth available.  To schedule the use of the dock, please fill out the online form and harbor staff will contact you to finalize the schedule request.  For dockage rates, please see our fee schedule.  Charges for the use of this facility is based on the current Terminal

Get online tutoring for subjects like math, English, and history. Work with a live tutor or use the resources to study independently. 

Newly expanded hours: 8am-2am M-F, and noon-2am on weekends.

Proctored Tests

General Information

  • The Homer Public Library agrees to cooperate with institutions of higher learning in providing exam proctoring services as a courtesy to area residents
  • Examinations are typically offered Tuesday through Saturday, though other arrangements may be made with advance notice
  • If the test is to be taken on a computer, it must be compatible with the hardware and software available on library workstations
  • This service is subject to the availability of authorized staff

Homebound Services

 

Homebound services delivers a variety of library materials to residents in assisted living, skilled nursing and retirement facilities as well as those still living in their homes.

Materials are selected based on the participant’s wants and needs and will be provided until the patron no longer desires it, or when eligibility criteria have lapsed.

Compliance Concerns

The City Planning Department administers Zoning Code compliance/enforcement concerns. If you see a development project or site that you have concerns about, please complete the Code Compliance Form and return it to the Planning Department.

Computers and WiFi

Public Computers

We have computers available for public use! All the following are available:

  • Public workstations with internet access, basic office software and some graphics-editing tools
  • Laptops for checkout
  • Bring your own device and connect to the free wi-fi

Logging onto the public workstations requires either a library card or a guest pass, available at the front desk. The public workstations are time-limited.

Printing is offered in black and white (25 cents/page) and color (60 cents/page), but can only be done from the public workstations.

Meeting Room

The library offers free use of the meeting room for meetings and programs that serve an educational, cultural, civic, or recreational purpose.  Meetings and programs must be free and open to the public
