Load and Launch Ramp

The five lane Load and Launch Ramp is for the use of loading and unloading vessels to/from the trailer and water.  During April 1 to October 15, use of the ramp is charged per day per boat.

City Campgrounds

Effective April 1st, camping is open at Mariner Park Campground and Tent Camp West Camping Area per Homer City Code chapter 19.08.  

The Fishing Hole Campground and Karen Hornaday Park Campground will re-open in late May 2026.         

 

Amenities of the Harbor

Harbor Coverage:  There is a Harbor Officer on duty twenty-four hours a day.  Contact on VHF  Channel 16 or (907) 235-3160.

Potable Water:  All water provided is potable. Water is available year-round at the Harbormaster’s Office, the Fish Dock, Deep Water Dock and Pioneer Dock. Water is available from approximately May 1 to October 1 throughout the harbor basin.

Stall Wait List

The Port of Homer offers reserved stalls to any individual, partnership, corporation or governmental agency that apply.  Reserved stalls are offered once every year in the fall.  All applicants, except government agencies, shall designate a single individual whose name shall appear on the waiting list and who will be responsible for payment of all fees.

Steel Grid Info & Agreement

The Steel Grid is one of two tidal grids that the Port and Harbor operates. The minimum length allowed is 60 feet, max is 120 feet,  along with a 200 displacement ton limit.

Wood Grid Info & Agreement
