ADA Awareness Day in Homer -- July 26

The City of Homer is proud to support the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) on July 26th, its 35th  anniversary, and every other day of the year too!

In recognition of this landmark civil rights law that prohibits discrimination and affirms the rights of people with disabilities to live, work and participate fully in their communities, our Mayor has officially proclaimed July 26th as ADA Awareness Day in Homer. The proclamation reflects and reaffirms the City's commitment and ongoing efforts to remove barriers to inclusion and accessibility.

We thank the City's ADA Advisory Board and our many community partners for their ongoing dedication to making Homer a more accessible and inclusive community for everyone.
