Appreciation for our 2025 Poll Workers

Seven women, 5 standing and 2 sitting at a white plastic table with stacks of ballot sleeves and voting precinct maps on wall.

While election outcomes often capture the headlines, we wanted to take a moment to recognize and thank our behind-the-scenes election heroes: our poll workers and city clerks. They put in long hours to make sure every voter in our community can participate. From managing accessible voting locations to helping voters check in and ensuring ballots are properly cast, these dedicated individuals safeguard the fundamental elements of our democratic process. Today, we're saying thank you to all the clerks and poll workers who make our voices heard!

Preliminary election results are posted at https://www.cityofhomer-ak.gov/. Final municipal election results will be certified by Resolution at the October 13th Regular Homer City Council meeting, after the Canvass Board meets to review and count absentee and questioned ballots on October 10, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Homer City Hall in Cowles Chambers.

The public can attend in person or via Zoom. Go to https://www.cityofhomer-ak.gov/cityclerk/canvass-board-4 for details.
