City of Homer Special Municipal Election June 13, 2017
CITY OF HOMER NOTICE OF THE REGULAR MUNICIPAL ELECTION
TO BE HELD TUESDAY, JUNE 13, 2017
Notice is hereby given that the City of Homer will conduct a Special Municipal Election on Tuesday, June 13, 2017. Polls will open at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m.
POLLING PLACES FOR THE CITY OF HOMER ELECTION:
- Homer No. 1, 31-350: City Hall Cowles Council Chambers, downstairs in the City Hall Building located at 491 E. Pioneer Avenue
- Homer No. 2, 31-360: Homer Senior Citizens located at 3935 Svedlund
The purpose of this election is to decide three questions:
Question No. 1. Shall Donna Aderhold be Recalled from the Office of Homer City Council?

Question No. 2. Shall David Lewis be Recalled from the Office of Homer City Council?
O Yes O No
Question No. 3. Shall Catriona Reynolds be Recalled fom the Office of Homer City Council?
O Yes O No
Below each question, there will be the sponsor’s statement of the grounds for recall and following the sponsor’s statement Council Members Aderhold, Lewis, and Reynolds may include a statement of 200 words or less.
Sample ballots containing complete ballot language are available at the City Clerk's office.
ABSENTEE AND SPECIAL NEEDS VOTING
In Person: Absentee voting in person will be available at Homer City Hall, 491 E. Pioneer Avenue, between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., beginning Tuesday thru Friday, May 30 through Monday, June 12, 2017, excluding weekends.
Special Needs Voting: A registered voter who is unable to go to the polls due to age, serious illness or a disability, may have a personal representative pick up and deliver a ballot to them during the absentee in person voting period. Special needs ballots can also be obtained on Election Day at the polling place.
Mail Applications: Applications must be received by the City Clerk no later than Friday, June 9, 2017. To be counted, absentee ballots must be postmarked no later than June 13, 2017 and received by the City Clerk before the canvass of ballots, June 16, 2017 at 1:00 p.m.
Electronic Transmission Applications: Applications must be received by the City Clerk no later than 5:00 p.m. on Monday, June 12, 2017 and returned to the City Clerk by electronic transmission no later than 8:00 p.m. on Election Day.
Applications for by mail or electronic transmission ballots are available online at www.cityofhomer-ak.gov/cityclerk and at the City Clerk’s Office.
Please note that all ballots cast by absentee and special needs voting will be counted by the Canvass Board on June 16th and will be included in the final Certificate of Election submitted by the Board.
