Pardon our dust! We are spring cleaning.
Now that the snow has melted off City streets, your Public Works Department is springing into street sweeping operations to remove sand remaining from the winter season. Sweeping up the excess dust and debris on nearly 2o miles of roadway keeps it out of the air and our storm drain system and makes our town cleaner, more aesthetically pleasing and livable.
Street sweepers create dust when in operation, so keep your distance and drive slowly. Pedestrians and motorists are asked to please be cautious around the equipment – keep a healthy distance to avoid the dust and injury or damage from flying debris.
To date, Public Works has been completing their sweeping in the early morning hours each day to minimize impacts of dust on the community. Currently they are sweeping throughout the day with both the pick-up sweeper and the vacuum sweeper.
Thanks!
