Report Opossum Sightings to ADF&G
Alaska Department of Fish and Game (ADF&G) asks the public to report all opossum sightings immediately to the ADF&G at 907-235-8191. The ADF&G is actively working towards the removal of opossums from the wild in the Homer area because opossums possess the potential to spread diseases, prey on, and compete with native wildlife.
If an opossum is spotted outside of normal business hours, please contact the Homer Police at 907-235-3150.
The City of Homer appreciates the cooperation of its residents in promptly reporting any opossum sightings and ensuring the safety of both the community and local wildlife.
