Need and Benefits

A recreation center would address the City residents' identified need for reliable indoor space to deliver community recreation and educational programs. With the ongoing challenges of securing access to local school facilities, and the HERC building's age and condition limiting program options and making rehabilitation costly due to hazardous materials, a new center would provide dedicated, dependable space.
