Sports Gear Lending Program

The Sports Gear Lending Program is provided to allow community members to borrow sporting goods and recreational equipment from the Community Recreation Program and the Homer Public Library. There is a limited quantity and selection of items but the intent is to encourage community members to get outside to play and recreate. If you do not see any items you are looking for we may be able to assist with connecting you to an organization who may be able to help.  This is a free program and we will gladly accept any donated items that are clean, safe and in working condition that could be utilized by other community members. Here's how it works:

Step 1:  View the attached list of items that are currently available.

Step 2: Make sure you have a library card to check out the gear.

Step 3: Go to the library (get a card there if you don't have one) and request the item you would like to borrow. Print and sign the attached agreement form and bring with when you pick up the item. Or you can complete the form when you pick up the item.

Step 4: Have fun and be safe with borrowed item.

Step 5:   Return the item within the scheduled timeframe.
