Automatic Renewals
Automatic renewals at the Homer Public Library
Did you know? Eligible items checked out from the library automatically renew on the original due date! Books, DVDs, magazines, and most other physical items will renew automatically twice.
Patrons will be notified via email when an auto-renewal attempt is made. The email will list the items on which an auto-renewal was attempted, whether the auto-renewal was successful, and if it wasn’t, the reason why.
An item will not be renewed if someone has placed a hold on it, if the renewal limit is reached, or if the patron's account is blocked or expired.
Automatic renewals do not apply to digital materials (Alaska Digital Library/Libby, Kanopy), interlibrary loans (ILLs), or electronics (Chromebooks and hotspots).
