Ghost of the Kenai - Author Talk with Aurora Hardy

Join us at the library to meet Alaska author and storyteller Aurora Hardy, as she shares her historical fiction novel, The Ghost of the Kenai. The novel place in the late 1700s in Alaska on the Kenai River where characters are trying to uncover the mystery of a ghost while Alaska Native and Russian culture ultimately come into conflict.

At the mouth of the Kenai River in 1796, a Russian fort is tormented by the wails of a ghost — though she was once thought only “a fairy tale to scare children and warn men against mistreating women.” That’s the premise of “The Ghost of the Kenai,” - Jake Dye of the Homer News (Off the Shelf: A haunting close to home)
Following the author talk/reading there will be a book signing. Copies of the book will be available for purchase for $14.95 through the Homer Bookstore.
