Participate in Alaska Reads
Alaska Reads is a biennial statewide reading program that features a selected publication by a living Alaskan author.
The selection for 2017-18 is Steam Laundry by Nicole Stellon O-Donnell. DOWNLOAD THE EBOOK or CHECK OUT A COPY FROM THE LIBRARY.
A novel written as a series of poems, it is based on the true story of Sarah Ellen Gibson, a miner’s wife during the Gold Rush. Told from a variety of perspectives, the poems are both engrossing and well crafted. We look forward to Skyping with O’Donnell during the next HPL Book Club on Tuesday, February 27, at 4:30 pm.
