Old Harbormaster Building Demolition
The City Council authorized in the 2015 operating budget an expenditure of $20,000 to complete the demolition of the Old Harbormaster Building. Public Works prepared bid documents and solicited bids in accordance with the City’s procurement regulations (bids were advertised in the Homer Tribune on July 8 and 22); nine bids were publicly opened and read on July 30. The City’s 5% local bidder’s preference applies:

Recommendation: The City Council pass a resolution awarding the contract for the Old Harbormaster Building Demolition project to the firm of Moore & Moore Services, Inc. of Homer, Alaska, in the amount of $8,300 and authorize the City Manager to execute the appropriate documents.
