SUBJECT:         Dredge Materials Sale                

The City of Homer Port and Harbor advertised for the sale of dredge materials from our annual harbor entrance dredging program as allowed by city code. In the advertisement we gave the total estimated amount available for purchase as 7000 cubic yards with a 100 cy minimum and base bid price of $5.00 per cubic yard. The City opened bids on August 18th at 2:00 pm. There were a total of 3,850 yards bid in five separate bids (Gambone bid twice), all above the base price.

Bid results are as follow:

Gregoire Const.             500cy at $5.50 per cy

Arno Const.                     2000cy at $5.00 per cy

Betty Gambone             550 cy at $5.30 per cy

JHTKO, LLC                     800 cy at $ 5.50 per cy

Recommendation: Award bids and authorize the sale of dredged materials from the City of Homer Port and Harbor dredged materials spoils pile on Lot 49.
