RESOLUTION 16-090(S)

A RESOLUTION OF THE HOMER CITY COUNCIL AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR THE CITY-OWNED DREDGE MATERIALS 2016 TO GREGOIRE CONSTRUCTION, ARNO CONSTRUCTION, BETTY GAMBONE, AND JHTKO, LLC OF HOMER, ALASKA, A COMBINED TOTAL OF 3,850 CUBIC YARDS FOR A TOTAL AMOUNT OF $20,065.00 AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.

               WHEREAS, In accordance with the Procurement Policy the Invitation to Bid was advertised in the Homer News on August 4 and 11, 2016, sent to two in-state plans rooms, and posted on the Clerk's home page; and

WHEREAS, Bids were due on August 18, 2016 and four bids were received; and

WHEREAS, Bids were opened and Gregoire Construction of Homer, Alaska, bid on a quantity of 500 cubic yards (CY) at $5.50 per CY for $2,750.00; Arno Construction of Homer, Alaska, bid on a quantity of 2,000 CY at $5.00 per CY for $10,000.00; Betty Gambone of Homer, Alaska, bid on a quantity of 550 CY at $5.30 per CY for $2,915.00; and JHTKO, LLC of Homer, Alaska, bid on a quantity of 800 CY at $5.50 per CY for $4,400.00; a combined total of 3,860 CY for a total amount of $20,065.00; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Homer, Alaska, approves the contract award for the City-Owned Dredge Materials 2016 to Gregoire Construction, Arno Construction, Betty Gambone, and JHTKO, LLC of Homer, Alaska, A Combined Total of 3,850 Cubic Yards for a Total Amount of $20,065.00 and Authorizing the City Manager to Execute the Appropriate Documents.

               PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Homer City Council this 22nd day of August, 2016.
