Summer is here, which means it’s time to get out and play! 

July is National Park & Recreation Month, a designation to help highlight the role of recreation in our community.  From providing us places to play, get fit and stay healthy to fostering new relationships and connecting with nature, the City of Homer parks and recreation facilities and Community Recreation programs provide essential services and improve quality of life.

Natural Gas Assessment Reminder

Natural gas assessments are due July 1st.  

Payments may be made in person at City Hall, by mail, or with a credit card over the phone by calling 235-8121.  City Hall business hours are from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.  We are located at 491 East Pioneer Avenue.

K-Bay Water Trail Pavilion Celebration Event

The community is invited to celebrate the "grand opening" of the Kachemak Bay Water Trail Pavilion! 

 

Kachemak Bay Water Trail and Friends of the Kachemak Bay State Park are hosting a gathering to publicly thank the volunteers and generous donors that made the Pavilion project possible and successful.

Come out to enjoy music, food and friends. Oysters, grilled hot dogs, and the rest of a picnic lunch are on the menu!

at the Pavilion near the Fishing Hole on Homer Spit

Frisbee Court Road Paving Improvements Pre Bid Conference

A Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 in the City Hall Second Floor Conference Room (491 East Pioneer Avenue) to answer bidder’s questions. Immediately after, interested parties can complete a site visit with the City Engineer.

This project is funded through the City of Homer Accelerated Roads/ Trails Fund (HART). The City’s local bidder’s preference requirements do apply to this contract; State prevailing wage rates will apply.  The work includes, but is not limited to the following:
