Homer's Welcome of the USS Hopper - Letter to Homer from Mayor Zak

To the Patriotic Men and Women of Homer, Alaska:

Homer citizens’ overwhelming support of our servicemen was demonstrated this past week through their patriotic welcome of the USS Hopper.  Commanding Officer CDR JD Gainey wrote a letter to our City letting us know that in his 24 years of Naval service, he had never seen as much patriotism.  To the many citizens, business owners, and organizations that made this visit of the USS Hopper the benchmark for patriotism, I thank you. You have proven this community stands together for the greater good and freedom of us all.

Street Cleaning Operations
