With media available 24/7, your library is always open! Download ebooks, Kindle books and digital audiobooks from the Alaska Digital Library, with a valid library card, your account's PIN (password), and an internet-enabled device. 

The Deep Water Dock (also known as the Freight Dock) has inside, outer-face, and trestle berth available.  To schedule the use of the dock, please fill out the online form and harbor staff will contact you to finalize the schedule request.  For dockage rates, please see our fee schedule.  Charges for the use of this facility is based on the current Terminal

There is always something going on at the library! Below is a list of ongoing programs. For special events, check the calendar.

For an ADA accommodation, such as an ASL interpreter, contact the library at 907-235-3180 or by email.

Get online tutoring for subjects like math, English, and history. Work with a live tutor or use the resources to study independently. 

Newly expanded hours: 8am-2am M-F, and noon-2am on weekends.

General Information

• The Homer Public Library agrees to cooperate with institutions of higher learning in providing exam proctoring services as a courtesy to area residents
• Examinations are typically offered Tuesday through Saturday, though other arrangements may be made with advance notice
• If the test is to be taken on a computer, it must be compatible with the hardware and software available on library workstations
• This service is subject to the availability of authorized staff
