RESOLUTION 14-096(S)
 

A RESOLUTION OF THE HOMER CITY COUNCIL AWARDING THE KAREN HORNADAY PARK CAMPGROUND/TRAIL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT TO ARNO CONSTRUCTION, LLC. OF HOMER, ALASKA, IN AN AMOUNT OF $70,438.00 AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.

                WHEREAS, In accordance with the Procurement Policy, fax-back bids were solicited from twelve area-wide contractors; and

                Whereas, Bids were due on September 4, 2014 and five bids were received; and

                WHEREAS, Bids were opened and the firm of Arno Construction, LLC. of Homer, Alaska was determined to be the low responsive bidder and found to be qualified to complete the work; and

                WHEREAS, The cost of the construction of this project, as reflected in the low bid, is within the budget authorized by the City Council; and

                WHEREAS, This award is not final until written notification of award is received by Arno Construction, LLC. from the City of Homer.

                NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Homer, Alaska, approves the contract award for the Karen Hornaday Park Campground/Trail Improvement Project to the firm of Arno Construction, LLC. of Homer, Alaska in the amount of $70,438.00 and authorizes the City Manager to execute the appropriate documents.

                PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Homer City Council this 8th day of September, 2014.
