RESOLUTION 15-021

 

A RESOLUTION OF THE HOMER CITY COUNCIL APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF SAFETY EQUIPMENT FOR THE HOMER POLICE DEPARTMENT OFFICERS FROM ADS, INC. OF VIRGINIA BEACH, VIRGINIA, IN THE AMOUNT OF $27,782.28 AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.

 

                WHEREAS, Funds were appropriated in the 2015 budget to purchase new safety equipment and will replace and upgrade the set of safety equipment we provide to every officer; and

 

               WHEREAS, In accordance with the Procurement Policy, quotes were solicited from the multiple vendors and were compared and the firm of ADS, Inc.,  was determined to be the low responsive bidder and was found to be qualified to provide the required safety equipment; and

 

               WHEREAS, This award is not final until written notification is received by ADS, Inc. of Virginia Beach, Virginia, from the City of Homer.

 

            NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Homer, Alaska, approves the purchase of safety equipment for the Homer Police Department Officers from ADS, Inc. of Virginia Beach, Virginia, in the amount of $27,782.28 and authorizes the City Manager to execute the appropriate documents.
