Boards & Commissions
City of Homer Advisory Bodies and their responsibilities are outlined in Homer City Code Chapter 1 and they are tasked with providing recommendations to City Council. There are 6 Advisory Bodies, and currently there are no Standing Committees or Special Committees/Task Forces. Standing Committees are permanent until they are disbanded by the City Council. Special Committees and Task Forces are established to accomplish a specific task in a specific time frame and are dissolved upon their final report to Council. All of the groups are comprised of volunteers and while preference is given to City residents, there are seats available for residents outside City limits as well.
