SUBJECT:          Jack Gist Land Purchase

The City Council referred Resolution 16-133 for the purchase of land adjacent to Jack Gist Park to PARCAC for comment. This is a 2.33 acre lot that is adjacent to the park’s northern boundary. Staff recommended purchasing the lot. More parking is needed for this facility, and the current list price of $69,000 is very reasonable for the current real estate market.

Under the consent agenda of the February 13, 2017 meeting, the Commission recommended the City Council adopt the resolution to purchase the property.

Recommendation: Council adopt Resolution 16-133 to purchase the land adjacent to Jack Gist Park.
