Due to a water line break and flooding in the building, the Homer Airport Terminal is temporarily closed.

Alaska Bus Company services out of the terminal are not affected.

Aleutian Airways flights in and out of Homer are through the Bald Mountain Air building next door to the Homer Airport Terminal. Due to limited parking space at Bald Mountain Air, travelers can park at the Homer Airport Terminal parking lot.

Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Resources

The Homer Airport Improvement project team will be hosting a meeting:

Friday March 7th from 4:30-5:30 pm

at Cowles Chambers in City Hall.

They will be discussing nightly closures set to begin April 5th and run through June 30th.

They can answer any questions you have and you can learn more about this year's construction plans.

Homer Airport Improvements

The City is working with contractors to improve the walking surfaces and access to the Homer airport terminal building, so if you are flying out of Homer Airport, you may notice some temporary detours to the terminal doors.  Please watch your step while construction is in progress!
 

The Alaska Department of Transportation has designated Homer Airport for assigned-space aircraft parking. A monthly fee is charged by the State for these tie down spaces.

The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF), in cooperation with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), has been engaged in a construction project to rehabilitate and improve Homer Airport runways and taxiways with the goals of extending the service life of the airport, improving safety, and improving airport perimeter access for airport security, maintenance, wildlife hazard management, and airfield rescue operations.
