ORDINANCE 17-13
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA, AMENDING THE 2017 OPERATING BUDGET BY AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE OF $19,850 FROM THE FISHING HOLE MAINTENANCE RESERVE FUND FOR Improvements to the NICK DUDIAK LAGOON FISH CLEANING STATION.
WHEREAS, The City executed a Cooperative Agreement with the Alaska Department of Fish and Game granting $60,000 for the purpose of making improvements to the fish cleaning facility near the Nick Dudiak Lagoon on the Spit. Improvements were completed and grant funds fully expended in the late fall of 2016; and
WHEREAS, Work consisted of the replacement and expansion of the concrete slab/foundation and the erection of a roof over the facility; and
WHEREAS, Grant funding did not cover some of the miscellaneous work required to finish the station, including providing additional fish cleaning tables, installing new water piping for table wash down, bird deterrent netting, lighting and perimeter grading.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF HOMER ORDAINS:
Section 1. The FY 2017 Operating Budget is hereby amended by appropriating $19,850 from the Fishing Hole Maintenance Reserve for improvements to the Nick Dudiak Lagoon Fish Cleaning Station.
