ORDINANCE 17-27

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA, AMENDING THE 2017 OPERATING BUDGET BY APPROPRIATING SEWER RESERVE FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $16,000 FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF SECURITY FENCING AT THE SEWER TREATMENT PLANT.

WHEREAS, the sewer treatment plant operations building has experienced flooding due to the inability to maintain a drainage ditch adjacent to the facility; and

WHEREAS, a portion of the security fence constructed when the sewer treatment plant was constructed blocks maintenance equipment access to a drainage ditch (see Memorandum 17-100); and

WHEREAS, the fence needs to be relocated to provide maintenance access to the ditch and eliminate flooding of the sewer operations building.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF HOMER ORDAINS:

Section 1. The FY 2017 Operating Budget is hereby amended by appropriating $16,000 from the Sewer Reserve Fund for the relocation of the fence along the north side of the sewer treatment plant.
