RESOLUTION 10-60

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA DIRECTING CITY STAFF TO COMPLETE AN EMPLOYEE SALARY AND BENEFIT STUDY.

WHEREAS, Section 4.2.2 of the City of Homer Personnel Regulations states it is the policy of the City to pay salaries and wages competitive with salaries and wages for comparable work and responsibilities in and outside municipal government; and
WHEREAS, Section 4.2.2 of the City of Homer Personnel Regulations states the Personnel Director shall review the Position Classification System no less than every five years and report findings to the City Manager; and
WHEREAS, After receiving the findings from the Personnel Director the City Manager shall provide a report and recommendation to the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Homer, Alaska, hereby directs city staff to complete an Employee Salary and Benefit Study for 2010.

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Homer City Council this 26th day of July, 2010.
