RESOLUTION 17-013

A RESOLUTION OF THE HOMER CITY COUNCIL AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF A 2016 CHEVY EXPRESS 4X4 CARGO VAN  FOR PUBLIC WORKS TO THE FIRM OF CHEVY OF SOUTH ANCHORAGE, OF ANCHORAGE, ALASKA, IN THE AMOUNT OF $39,801 AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.

                WHEREAS, In accordance with the Procurement Policy, quotes were solicited from various dealerships throughout Alaska; and

WHEREAS, Quotes were received from five dealerships; and

WHEREAS, Quotes were compared and the firm of Chevy of South Anchorage was determined to have provided the lowest and best quote, and was found to be qualified to supply the vehicle; and

WHEREAS, The quote is within the capital request approved by the City Council; and

WHEREAS, This award is not final until written notification is received by the firm from the City of Homer.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Homer, Alaska, hereby awards the contract for the purchase of a 2016 Chevy Express 4x4 Cargo Van for Public Works to the firm of Chevy of South Anchorage, of Anchorage, Alaska, in the amount of $39,801, plus standard document fees, and authorizes the City Manager to execute the appropriate documents.

                PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Homer City Council this 13th day of February, 2017.
