RESOLUTION 17-024

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ISSUE A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP) FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF THE EXISTING PORT AND HARBOR MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE.

WHEREAS, The current harbor software was put in place 20 years ago and has now proven to be antiquated, unsupported, and unable to be updated to implement the approved graduated moorage rate structure; and

WHEREAS, Ordinance 17-14 was brought forth to amend the 2017 operating budget by appropriating funds in the amount of $150,000 from Port and Harbor Reserves for the replacement of the existing Port and Harbor management software; and

WHEREAS, The Port and Harbor has prepared and defined the “requirements” for the replacement of the existing Port and Harbor management software.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Homer City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the replacement of the existing Port and Harbor management software.
