RESOLUTION 17-039

A RESOLUTION OF THE HOMER CITY COUNCIL REQUESTING THE CITY MANAGER ISSUE A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR OPEARATION OF FISH PUMP SERVICES ON THE SOUTH TRESTLE OF FISH DOCK.

WHEREAS, A request for proposal for the operation of 2 fish pump locations (North and South Trestle of Homer Fish Dock) was advertised in the Homer Tribune February 16 and 23, 2017 and posted on the City’s webpage; and 

WHEREAS, On March 28, 2017 Resolution 17-022 awarded a 3 year contract with 2 one year options for renewal to Icicle Seafoods for operation of a fish pump at the North Trestle of the Homer Fish Dock; and

WHEREAS, There were no responsive bids for the south trestle location; and

WHEREAS, It would be beneficial to the City and the Fish Dock Users to have a second fish pump operating on the Fish Dock;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Manager is directed to issue a request for proposal for operation of fish pump services at the South Trestle location of the Homer Fish Dock.
