RESOLUTION 17-049(S)
A RESOLUTION OF THE HOMER CITY COUNCIL AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE HICKERSON MEMORIAL CEMETERY EXPANSION PROJECT TO THE FIRM OF PAUL’S SERVICES, OF ANCHOR POINT, ALASKA, IN THE AMOUNT OF $67,662.50 AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, In accordance with the Procurement Policy the Invitation to Bid was advertised in the Homer News on April 13 and 20, 2017 and the Peninsula Clarion on April 16, 2017 and posted on the City’s website; and
WHEREAS, Bids were due on May 4, 2017 and five bids were received; and
WHEREAS, Paul’s Services of Anchor Point, Alaska, was found to be the lowest responsive bidder; and
WHEREAS, The work is funded by the Parks and Recreation Reserve Account and the low bid is within the project budget approved by the City Council, and
WHEREAS, This award is not final until written notification is received by the firm from the City of Homer.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Homer, Alaska, awards the contract for the Hickerson Memorial Cemetery Expansion project to the firm of Paul’s Services of Anchor Point, Alaska, in the amount of $67,662.50 and authorizes the City Manager to execute the appropriate documents necessary to complete this project.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Homer City Council this 8th day of May, 2017.
