RESOLUTION 17-083
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOMER, ALASKA, ADOPTING UNIFORM ABATEMENT OF WATER AND SEWER PAST AMOUNTS DUE WHEN CITY HAS MADE A BILLING ERROR.
WHEREAS, the City Manager has authority to implement water and sewer billing procedures with the City Council's approval; and
WHEREAS, it is in the City's best interest to have uniform procedures regarding billing on errors made by the City when calculating billing amounts.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Homer, Alaska, adopts the following procedure for abating under-billed costs that are the result of an error. The City shall notify a user within 60 days of discovering an error by the City in calculating the amount due for water and sewer services and shall charge for no more than 60 days of the costs that were not billed or calculated as a result of the error.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Homer City Council this 9th day of October, 2017.
