Load and Launch Ramp

The Official Site of the City of Homer Alaska

The five-lane Load and Launch Ramp is for the use of loading and unloading trailered vessels.

Winter use of the Load and Launch Ramp is available at no charge.

April 1 to October 15, there is a $25 fee per boat per launch for use of the ramp, paid at the time of launching. Retrieval is included in the fee, and you do not need to pay or check in with staff when retrieving your vessel.

To purchase a $250 permit entitling a specific recreational vessel to launch an unlimited amount of times during the calendar year, please contact the harbormaster's office. You may also save receipts from your launches, as each launch already paid in a given year may be credited towards a pass purchase with proper documentation.

Vessels that pay annual moorage or are registered to a reserved stall are exempt from ramp charges.

During business hours the Load and Launch booth is open to collect fees.  During all other hours, fees will be collected using the pay station kiosk located next to the booth. The kiosk accepts exact change in bills (does not make change) and credit cards.
