Climate Action Plan

The City adopted a Climate Action Plan in 2007.

The 2009 report took the recommendations of the Climate Action Plan to the next level, providing greater specificity based on more in-depth research and investigation to identify the most cost effective energy efficiency projects and where possible, estimate savings and payback times.

The 2021 progress report summarizes the achievements of the Climate Action Plan since its adoption. It provides technical background on how energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions are quantified and applied as a metric to examine how emissions reduction goals are being met.  The report also points out areas for improvement and provides suggestions for moving forward with the climate action plan.
