Join the CACS day campers, their counselors, and youth services librarian Cinda for read-alouds, games, and crafts on the library’s greenway (western lot).  Meet outside the library's front entrance.

Time Travel Escape Quest: A locked room puzzle for K-4th grades

Oh no! We're stuck in the past! Or is it the future? 

Join together to help solve the puzzles and follow the clues to put your time machine back together! Can you fix the machine before you run out of time? 

Snacks will be served!

Registration is required. For kids K-4th grades

Teen Mystery Party: Echo Spy Academy

At Echo Academy, secrets and shadows are part of the curriculum. It's not just any school--it's the premier spy training ground for teens, where mastering the art of deception is as essential as acing your finals!

2025 Pre-parade meet up!

Kids chess club is one of the most popular programs at the library! We'll celebrate chess in this year's Independence Day Parade!  At our pre parade meet up, we'll create chess piece hats to wear during the parade!

Thursday July 3, 2-3:30

Walk with the library and BOB the book mobile on July 4! Kids under 12 need to be accompanied by an adult during the parade. 

HERC Community Information Meeting

The City of Homer is hosting a community informational meeting regarding the Homer Education and Recreation Center (HERC). Special guests include staff from the State of Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation  Brownfields Program,  consultants from BGES – an environmental consulting firm hired by the state to conduct hazardous materials testing, and a facilitator from the Center for Creative Land Recycling.

Scavenger Hunt at the Pratt

Join Education Curator Maghan and Librarian Cinda to hear puzzling stories and solve a scavenger hunt at the Pratt Museum! 

Roam around the Pratt to find the answers to the clues! For elementary aged kids!
