2024 Candidate Forum - Mayor & Homer City Council

In preparation for the Municipal and State elections, KBBI AM 890 is presenting live, open-to-the-public candidate forums at the Homer Public Library.

Mayor and Homer City Council -Thursday, August 29 from 6-7 pm

This event is held with support from KDLL, the Peninsula Clarion and the League of Women Voters.

A Summer @ HPL 2024 Event!

A local beekeeper, Jennifer Frazier, will bring her demonstration hive to show real bees! We'll learn about why pollinators are so important and what we can do to help them! For all ages (preschool and younger with a caregiver).

Join us for the start of the summer reading program! Make upcycled crafts! Play upcycled games! Learn more about events happening this summer! Story time at 4:30! 

Read, Renew, Repeat: LEGO Contest! (Drop-off)

Design a LEGO creation related to the Summer Reading Theme: Read, Renew, Repeat! Use your imaginations to create something that demonstrates the theme! Follow your own ideas, not LEGO instructions! (No LEGO sets, please.)

Bring your creations to the library July 17 - July 23. 

Judging will take place on July 24. Winners will be announced at the End of Summer Reading Party on Saturday July 27.
