Learn About Artificial Intelligence

Join us at the Homer Public Library on October 10 at 6:00 pm for a discussion and demonstration of AI. Chief Technology Officer Bill Jirsa, Special Projects Associate Susie Inglis and Library Director Dave Berry will explore what AI is, how it works, and what it can (and can’t!) do. Along the way we’ll discuss the social positives and negatives of AI. We’ll also have a brief demonstration of AI tools already available and some time for questions from the audience.

Join us at the library for a special movie screenings after school at the library on KPBSD early release days! All movies at 2:30pm.

Creative Movement-Ballet 1 Ages 5-9 Spring 2025

Introducing kids to the joy of moving to music while also teaching fundamentals of ballet. This class allows students to explore creative ways of moving while also learning positions, basic movements, and combinations in classical ballet. Max of 12 participants. 8 week session. 

Class attire for girls: hair pulled back with bun (for long hair), ballet slippers, tights, ballet skirt or biker shorts optional. Attire in ballet pink preferred, but other colors acceptable. 

2024 Candidate Forum - State House District 6

In preparation for the Municipal and State elections, KBBI AM 890 is presenting live, open-to-the-public candidate forums at the Homer Public Library.

State House District 6 - Tuesday, October 29 from 6-7 pm

This event is held with support from KDLL, the Peninsula Clarion and the League of Women Voters.

You can attend in person, or listen to a live broadcast on KBBI AM 890 radio. It will also be streaming on kbbi.org, the KBBI app and the Peninsula Clarion Facebook page.
