Absentee Voting for the Regular City Election opens Monday, September 19th and runs through Election Day, October 4th.

City Election October 4, 2011

The City of Homer will conduct a Regular Election on Tuesday, October 4, 2011. Polls will open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 8:00 p.m.

POLLING PLACES FOR THE CITY OF HOMER ELECTION:

Homer No. 1, 35-010: City Hall Cowles Council Chambers, Downstairs in the City Hall Building located at 491 E. Pioneer Avenue

Homer No. 2, 35-020: Homer Senior Citizens located at 3935 Svedlund

 

The purpose of this election is to elect two (2) City Councilmembers for a term of three years each.

Part-Time Employee Benefits

Holidays                                                                             

Regular part-time employees will receive holiday pay pro-rated on their scheduled workweek. 

Employees working 20 hours per week, four holiday hours

Employees working 24 hours per week, five holiday hours

Employees working 28 hours per week, six holiday hours

 

Personal Leave with pay for regular part-time employees

 

Regular part-time employees will accrue leave at the following rates:

Full-Time Employee Benefits

Retirement 
Benefits are provided by the Public Employee's Retirement System. Regular full-time employees become a member upon hire. 

 

Holidays                                                                             

Employees receive 11 paid holidays each year, as well as their birthday.

*          New Year's Day, January 1

*          Washington's Birthday, 3rd Monday in February

*          Seward's Day, last Monday in March

*          Memorial Day, last Monday in May
