For tweens and teens, grades 5 + up.

Join the Friends of the Homer Public Library and students from Homer High School for this community presentation!

Tuesday, April 9th from 6-7:30pm

HHS teacher Erin Brege and a dozen HHS students traveled to Sydney and the Great Barrier Reef over Spring Break 2024. Through this incredible educational opportunity, students earned high school and college credits while gaining a valuable global perspective. HHS students will lead a presentation and share stories of their experiences during this “bonzer” (Australian word for awesome) educational field trip!

Project Description

This project completes design and permitting and replaces two critically deteriorated float systems and gangways in Homer Port and Harbor. The structures range from 38 to 61 years old, no longer meet current design or safety standards and were rated in serious to critical condition in a 2022 Condition Assessment. 

The Homer Public Library will be CLOSED for Seward's Day, Monday, March 25th. Regular Hours resume Tuesday, March 26th
