ADA Compliance Committee Site Accessibility Surveys

Members of the ADA Compliance Committee along with members of Public Works will be revisiting the Pavilion and area of the Fishing Lagoon and Jack Gist Park to further review non-compliance on various amenities offered in those recreational areas. 

Summer Field Calendars at Homer High and Homer Middle 2025

Check out the monthly calendars below for the most updated scheduled activities by month on the Homer High turf field and track and the Homer Middle School field.  Please note the schedules may change due to KPBSD activities/programs. Contact the Rec office at 907-235-6090 for any questions or information. Reminder:  no dogs or bicycles on the HHS field or track.

Lunch with Councilmember Caroline Venuti

WHEN: Tuesday, May 10th @ 12:00-1:00pm. 

WHAT: Bring your brown bag lunch and join us for lunch with Homer City Councilmember Caroline Venuti.

The library hosts councilmembers as an opportunity for community members to bring their questions and ideas to their elected representatives. One or two (or a few) councilmembers will visit each month for and informal conversation.

WHEN: Wednesday, April 20th from 3:00-4:00pm.  

WHAT: In person event! Grades 3-6. Learn about historic Homer! Use maps, old photographs, plus your imagination to uncover a bit about what Homer used to look like. This workshop is an extension of the Cartography of Community project at the Pratt Museum and Park.
