Budget Breakdown - Town Hall
On November 9th immediately following the swearing in of the new Council member, The City will hold its 3rd Town Hall meeting.
City Manager Koester will discuss the two proposed budgets: Budget A, the assumes new revenue budget and Budget B, bare bones budget and implications of both. We will answer questions about proposition 1 and effects of suspending new dollars to HART; as well as collecting suggestions about possible changes to HART in order to make it a more useful tool to Homer residents. We also will unveil a new online budget tool that will help the public, council, and departments track the budget graphically and in real time. Finally, we will continue the conversation for long term solutions beyond the three year suspension of HART that allows us to sustain the Homer we want to live in.
Please join us November 9th at 5:30pm in Council chambers to participate in this meaningful discussion
