Role-Play Volunteers Needed for Sat Aug 19th Disaster Drill
Are you available Saturday morning to help your community? The Fire Department is looking for volunteers to role play for an upcoming disaster drill at the Homer airport Saturday, August 19th.
Role players will be portraying injured passengers/crew of a crashed airplane to assist our team with this drill. The drill is required by the FAA for airport compliance – and is good for the community in the event of a real disaster! Please help out by generously giving 3-4 hours of your time Saturday.
If you can participate, call Chief Bob Painter at 235-3155 to sign up or email fire@ci.homer.ak.us for us to contact you directly. If we don't get enough volunteers by the close of business on Wednesday the 16th, we'll have to cancel the exercise.
Role players need to be at least 18 years old or have a waiver signed by their parent or legal guardian, and will need to be at that Homer Airport Fire Station by 8 am on Saturday the 19th.
