Anesha "Duffy" Murnane's family has contributed $10,000 to the Crime Stoppers reward for information leading to Duffy's whereabouts.  All tips are anonymous and can be made through the Homer Police Department at 907-235-3150 and Peninsula Crime Stoppers at:

UPDATE:  11/1/2019

The search for Anesha "Duffy" Murnane is ongoing at the Homer Police Department.  Murnane went missing on October 17, 2019.  The last verified sighting of Murnane showed her leaving her residence at 12:13 pm on foot to go to an appointment at the SVT Health and Wellness Center on Pioneer Avenue.

The Department's review of security camera footage from businesses in the Pioneer Avenue area unfortunately did not contain any leads.  The search for clues and information continues. HPD, after issuing warrants, have searched Murnane's digital accounts and bank account, the FBI is searching Murnane's computer operating system records, which could shed light on Murnane's phone use around that time, and HPD has been following up on approximately 100 tips that have come in in response to a widespread distribution of information and missing person fliers.  The family and community volunteers have canvassed areas on the northern Kenai Peninsula, asking for tips and sharing fliers.

Seven days after being reported missing, Homer Police Department is still actively searching for a missing Homer woman, Anesha “Duffy” Murnane.

Murnane, 38, is described as a 6-foot tall white female, weighing 160 pounds with blue eyes and dark hair.  When last seen, she was wearing a blue jacket, light blue shirt and blue jeans.

The last known sighting of Murnane was originally believed to about 5:15 pm Thursday, October 17 by eye-witness accounts; however, after receiving and scouring through hours of video footage it is now known that she left her residence at 12:13 pm Thursday, October 17.

Locating Murnane is the Homer Police Department’s main focus.  Efforts to date have included extensive air searches in Homer by helicopter and drone, organized ground searches by Homer Volunteer Fire Department and many community volunteers and by a trained search and recovery canine unit.  The canine unit was able track Murnane’s movement from her residence to Pioneer Avenue, where the scent disappeared.  According to Homer Police Lieutenant Ryan Browning, “At Homer’s Jeans on Pioneer Avenue, the dogs could no longer follow a scent and acted as if they had what could have been ‘a car pick up.’

While to date there is no evidence that Murnane was picked up, the search has expanded Statewide, with Homer officers contacting border stations at the Alaska-Canada border and the FBI.  As a missing person, Murnane would show up in law enforcement records if she was contacted and her identification entered into databases.

Homer Police Officers’ efforts continue locally as well.  They are currently contacting businesses along Murnane’s route to see if any security cameras might have footage of Murnane.  Residents and businesses along Lee Street, Herndon Drive, lower Svedlund, lower Kachemak Way, East Fairview Avenue and Pioneer Avenue from Svedlund to Lake street are asked to check any home security camera's, RING camera's, game camera's or any other device capable of capturing images between 12:13 and 12:50 pm on Thursday, October 17th.  Please contact the Homer Police Department at 235-3150 with any information.

On Monday, officers filed and served numerous search warrants expanding the search to include Murnane’s phone, banking, social media, social interest and e-commerce sites.  They are additionally reviewing hours of video footage provided by local businesses and working closely with Murnane’s family while following up on tips.
