Karen Hornaday Park Master Plan Update
The current Karen Hornaday Park Master Plan was adopted in 2009 after extensive public input and site assessment. It was intended to serve as a roadmap for future developments that reflect both the needs of our community and the resources available for improvement. Since that time, user patterns, community demographics, and site assessments have changed enough that a revision to the master plan was deemed necessary in order to facilitate responsible development moving forward with the flagship park of Homer. The City Council approved funding in the FY24-25 capital budget to review the existing plan and collect updated input from the public on the role this park will play in our future growth as a community.
