Celebrate Read Across America day!

Join HPL staff in the Children's Library on Wednesday, March 2nd for books and crafts. We'll read aloud every hour on the half hour from 10:30 - 5:30pm.

This event is planned to be in-person in the fireplace lounge at the Homer Public Library. Due to COVID precautions, seating is limited to 25 people. Register for in-person seating, or join us on Zoom!

Lets visualize a new multi purpose community center

Now we can visualize the future of the HERC site!  Stantec will be presenting the conceptual site and building plans during the regular Council Meeting on February 28. This unveiling will kick off two months of public comment opportunities and community conversations. At the end of April, the matter will be back before Council to review the comments received, funding opportunities for continuing design work, and the potential timing of next steps.  Please join the conversation and come view the exhibits.  Submit your comments in the questionnaire below!

A vision for the future of the HERC! The designs Stantec presented provided conceptual site and building plans.  Homer City Council heard the presentation on June 6th, which begins to frame expectations for operating a new facility in the community.
