R.E.A.D with Ruger

Ruger is a reading therapy dog and he loves to be read to! He'll be at the library for a series of three days. Pre-register for one 15 minute session with Ruger. Sessions with Ruger are for K-2nd graders, and limited to one session per person. We'll announce any additional openings.

Join educator Ted Carter for workshop for elementary students examining the culture of some of the earliest enslaved Africans in the United States, as well as the history and cultural heritage of African Americans in the United States.

Get Loud at the Library

Please note -- if you are offered a reserved stall and do not accept, you may lose your eligibility for a hotberth assignment.
Note: Hotberths longer than 5 days will not be considered for individuals that are not on the stall wait list.
Arrival Date
Hotberth requests cannot be placed more than 2 days in advance. Your vessel must be in the harbor on the arrival date you provide or you will waive your assignment.

Please estimate your departure date if you are not certain

Is your boat registered with the Homer Harbor? *
Your boat is registered by filing a Moorage Permit with the office. Once filed, these forms do not expire.
Is your boat insurance information on file with the office? *
If not, please send a current COI to port@ci.homer.ak.us, text a picture to 907.299.5348, or bring it by the office.
Please also submit a transient moorage permit to register your boat with the Homer Port & Harbor.
Terms & Conditions

By checking the box below, you affirm that you understand and agree to the following terms:

  • A hotberth assignment is not a permanent assignment and does not guarantee you an assigned stall for any length of time.
  • You (or person you designate) are available to relocate your vessel within 24 hours
  • If you do not relocate your vessel within that time frame, and harbor officers tow your vessel to another location, you may be assessed a fee of $68.00 for the service.
