Create Your Family Emergency Communication Plan

Don’t lose touch with your family during a disaster!

Emergencies can happen at any time. You will want to send and receive information from your family and friends.

“What if something happens and I’m not with my family?” “How will I know they are safe?” “How can I let them know I’m OK?”

Financial First Aid Kit

We've all heard about the importance of putting together a family emergency and first aid kit to help us get through an emergency.  But have you ever thought of your financial first aid kit ?  People at all income levels have experienced the challenges of rebuilding their lives after a disaster or other emergency.

FEMA (the Federal Emergency Management Administration) offers several tips and guides to help you prepare financially and reduce the impact disasters can leave you with you.

Homer Police Welcome Two New Officers

Last night Chief Robl introduced the two newest Police Department members to the City Council during a swearing in ceremony.  We are very happy to have Tyler Jeffres and Kellen Stock and their families as part of our team!

Tyler Jeffres comes to us from Greely, CO as a graduate of Fort Lewis College. Tyler has a background in directing youth programs and youth soccer.  Earlier this summer, Tyler completed sixteen weeks of training and is currently in his second phase of field training.
