Canvass Board
Calendar Date:
The Canvass Board is appointed by the City Clerk to review the preliminary certificates of election and all official election documents in accordance with HCC Chapter 4.35 Canvassing and Certification of Election Results. Canvass Board meetings are open to the public. The Canvass Board shall judge the applicability of absentee and questioned ballots, open and tally those accepted, and compiles the total votes cast in the election. The Council shall certify the results of the election at the next regular Council meeting following completion of the canvass by the Canvass Board.
